What I Wore This Week
One of my favorite things about “old school” blogging was the casual outfit snaps of what people were actually wearing. I’ve sporadically shared my outfits on Instagram, but I’ve really been enjoying doing that this week, so I wanted to share them here as well. I think I might make this a regular feature. I enjoy more “official” outfit posts, and I plan to share more of those, too. But it’s fun to take a quick snap of my outfit and share it. I don’t “costume blog,” I wear my clothes all the time, in all scenarios, even at home. So I’ve been enjoying sharing that, too!

On Monday, we had a rare chilly morning before the heatwave later this week!
Sweater: Bermuda sweater from the English Sports Shop
Jeans: J. Crew* 9″ toothpick jeans
Bag: Vintage Bermuda bag from Trimingham’s (my grandmother’s)
Shoes: Vintage needlepoint slippers from Zalo* (my mother’s)

Tuesday was the start of the heatwave–I spent most of the day in this shift dress (the blue version), the best way to beat the heat.
Dress: Beachcomber dress (vintage)
Shoes: Palm Beach Sandals
Bag: Vintage Bermuda bag from Trimingham’s (my grandmother’s)
Sunglasses: Krewe* (old style, but you can find the brand here)

We saw some friends at their beach club; a great post-work treat even though I am seriously sunburned now!
Skirt: The MDS Stripes skirt I’ve been searching for for a decade!
Shoes: Palm Beach Sandals
Shirt: Polo Ralph Lauren oxford* (pro tip, the boys’ version is half the price of the women’s and has the best boxy look. The sizing goes up to size 20, which is roughly a women’s 4.)
Bag: Vintage Bermuda bag from Trimingham’s (my grandmother’s)

Thursday was probably the worst day of the heatwave! I tried to stay indoors all day but “braved” the heat for a quick trip to the grocery store. Scintillating, I know.
Shoes: Vintage Stubbs & Wootton* (my grandmother’s)
Shorts: J. Crew 4″ chino shorts*
Top: A Liberty of London x Uniqlo collaboration I picked up a few years ago in London
Bag: Vintage Bermuda bag from Trimingham’s (my grandmother’s)
I hope you enjoyed this post, and let me know if you’d like to see more of these!

I, too, love when bloggers share their outfits. I like the composition of your photos; however, it’s hard to really get a feel for what the outfit looks like put together given the angle of the shot. Just my two cents!
I know! We have one full-length mirror in the house and it’s fine for checking outfits but not good for taking photos of them. I need to find another mirror, or just pull out the tripod I bought and use that 🙂
