Outfit Post: Vintage Shift Dress

There’s nothing I love more than a shift dress in the summer. It’s the most comfortable thing to wear, and if you find a good one, they are flattering too. Shift dresses don’t have to be shapeless siacks, and they are appropriate for almost any occasion, from an early morning around the house to a cocktail party to running errands in town. I love this dress, which belonged to a friend and was originally made for her mother-in-law in Jamaica. The quality is superb and has lasted many years while still looking new. I snapped this picture when having drinks with my husband–it’s so nice to be cool and comfortable with the heat already rising!

I’m wearing:

A vintage Beachcomber shift

Palm Beach Sandals

Mikimoto pearl studs*
