Five Things, Vol. 3
It’s the middle of January and I’m already feeling the winter slump. While I make things as cozy as possible inside, I’m cooking up as many delicious recipes as I can–especially comfort food.
This chicken, leek, and tarragon pie from Bella Philippi is absolutely delicious and I’ve already made it three times! Very simple to make and so yummy.
I am a terrible baker, but the one thing I can consistently make well is this bread from Cathal Armstrong. I have made my own slight edits to this recipe–happy to share if anyone is interested! This bread always makes me miss Ireland.
I made this endive tarte tatin for New Year’s Eve (along with delicious steak au poivre) and it was to. die. for. I can’t wait to make it for another special occasion!
A newish favorite tradition of mine is Saturday night pizza, which my husband makes to perfection. As my toddler and I are usually up early, it’s been so much fun to make pizza dough together in the morning! I love that we all contribute to this delicious dinner.
One of the things I miss the most about living in the city is stopping by the Russ & Daughters at the Jewish Museum every weekend and getting bagels to eat in the park, then stopping by again later in the week to stock up for weekday mornings! I think I’ll have to place an order soon–grateful that Russ & Daughters delivers nationwide via Goldbelly!
Are you also cooking up a storm, and if so, please share what you’re making!
