Birthday Thoughts

Today is my birthday! I’ve always loved birthdays–who doesn’t, honestly?–and I feel so lucky to be celebrating another. These past two years have really driven home to me how much of a blessing good health is. I’ve been grateful for that and many other things during the pandemic.

On my birthday, I like to look back at all the different people I’ve been throughout my life and see how far I’ve come–child, student, young adult, and now wife and mother. At the age of seven, I may have anticipated living in New York again, being married, and having a child, but I wouldn’t have anticipated heading up a historical and genealogical society. I’m proud of how I’ve grown as an adult, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for the year ahead!
